The latest Hawkes Bay Regional Council newsletter is telling us that all vehicle and foot traffic is banned from all Hawkes Bay sand dunes. Vehicle access is banned on Waimarama beach from Kuku Rocks to Pouhokio Stream 8am to 8pm until April 30th.
All vehicles (includes quad bikes and motor bikes I guess) banned from Ocean Beach at all times.The DOC guys wont like this when they have to walk up to the wildlife fence and penguin cages carrying all their gear on their backs.

There are other bans too for East Clive, Mahia, Aromoana and Blackhead Point.
