Finally got my hands on the NEW Veritas Pro Surf which is due for release in September. This is a step up from the current Veritas Surf. It is a 3 piece 14'6". It has oval low rider guides and an extended EVA grip.
It looks great and casts great too. Mark Roberts and I took it to the beach this afternoon and put it through its paces with an overhead, freespool reel. It is a delight to cast being light and responsive. I am no great caster with overheads but easily managed well over 100m. Mark cast considerably further. We didnt get near fully loading it.
IT just needs a little tarting up and tweaking and it will be ready for summer.
