I have three rods with Lowriders, CD Tournament 2, CD XD Surf 13ft converted and a Okuma Solaris 13ft converted. The XD Surf you can feel the smoothness of the line through the guides over the standard conventional guides, to the point where people have tried the rods back to back they think the line has broken on the Lowrider rod.
The other huge advantage of the Lowrider guides is their reliability, guide rapes are a thing of the past,side wind is no longer an issue.
