This is to me and a lot of fellow fisherman the highlight of my fishing year, The Naki has good fish but the far North has a certain magic to it. And its not just the 90mile but also the day's you can go fish on the east coast. Those five days go by in a blur but its the best blur of the year.
I was hooked after the first year, yea its bloody expensive but you only live once,
This isn't the pinnacle of our sport and there is a certain amount (skilled) luck involved but you feel that you achieved something if you have measured yourself against the "big guns"
I am one of the many that hope this contest is around for many years to come.
My 5cents: Standing on the sideline and just slinging mud doesnt help anyone. Become part of the solution not part of the problem.
