You will note in fin-nor's latest post, the retailer's comments: it's not the first time he has had to exchange this model. That says far more than my words.
I am very aware you also had a personal involvement in the Veritas rod. Try thinking dispassionately on how those customers may feel when they realise their hard earned cash has bought a lemon. With all the quality rods available I can think of no other brand of rod that has come in for the amount of critique on this site than the Veritas has achieved.
Once I pay my new tyres off I'll be looking at replacing these, seems to be some design imperfections coming through now they've had a little use, shame they are a nice casting rod for fishing.
The Veritas is basically a good rod , the best bang for the buck so far this century.
The quality control on these rods let them down badly and it's sad to say the distributors did not take the problem seriously at the start.
The problems with the joints were solved with the on going shipments.
The guides are of light weight construction and large shock leader knots can be hard on them .
