Holy crap. I was about to get a flat in Edinburgh when I emailed this guy to make sure that the courts are actually in Edinburgh. They're not. They're in Glasgow and western Scotland.

I haven't asked many questions. I'm just going with it. Will I be compensated for travel outside of Glasgow? I would think so. That's normal industry practice. But I haven't asked.

Anyway, I thought that the rent in Edinburgh was cheap. They're almost paying you to rent in Glasgow. For £700 you can get a three bedroom place half a mile from the main train station. The one bedroom places look great. Here's a place for £450 near to the station that even looks okay.

What's the cheapest? I swear I saw places in the £300 range. Yeah, there's about five for £300. They look alright. Full bathrooms and everything. Not even far from that station either.

But yeah, I'm going to aim for about £500-600, I think. And will it be a pain taking public transportation to travel all over the inbred parts of Scotland? Of course. But maybe I can get a car. I know how to drive, after all. And I'll be saving a fortune on rent. I should take some lessons, though since I don't know how to drive a stick shift, there's the driving on the other side of the road thing, and I haven't driven in ten years. Not that I think you forget how to drive.
