So I ventured south of the river. I'm going to view a flat there this afternoon and wanted to take a test journey on the trains.
Holy crap. Everything is boarded up except the betting shops and the Job Centre, both of which were doing a roaring trade. Possibly homeless old men everywhere. Single chav mothers. Think they're called "neds" here. Dudes in cars yelling at ethnic minority children. Anti-Turkey graffiti.
No wonder so many British people want to move to London. If Glasgow is representative of the rest of the country, London is indeed miles better.
Well, let's not go crazy. London is awful. But you don't see the poverty and neglect there like you do in Glasgow.
This place makes Hammond, Indiana look prosperous. I never thought I could say that about any non-warzone city. Just unbelievable.
In better news, this place I saw yesterday, it might actually go through. It's £625/month so more than I was looking to spend but not by much. I pay £700 in London but that's London. In Glasgow you shouldn't be paying that much. It's in an okayish area and not the smallest place I've seen.
Also two more Tinder matches. I'm in the zone. They're 27 and 24 or something. That 19 year old didn't reply but often if you try again in a few days, weeks, or months they'll reply.
