She didn't really seem wowed by my soap gift. She bought me some sweets.
So yeah. I hope I didn't get her pregnant. We were in a pretty good position and there was a point where I thought maybe I might have cum a teeny bit but hopefully not. And hopefully she's on birth control. But having a baby would be fine too, I guess. Whatever. I don't think I'll have many opportunities.
Tuesday my previous employer is going to pick up three boxes of papers. That will be good to get them out of here. Then Wednesday, I'm going to Glasgow to sign the lease and get the keys, hopefully. Going to check out the flat on Wednesday, make sure it's been cleaned and a doorknob put on the door. Then back to London on the same day. Then two weeks from now I have the moving van scheduled so hopefully I'll be able to move all of my stuff there.
It's exciting. Maybe Glasgow isn't exciting but I'll be glad to get out of London. Just the cost of the housing and the low quality of the housing and the constant crowds, the packed trains, to hell with all of that.
I think the flat in Glasgow is a pretty decent size. Bathroom is shit. Really narrow, only fits the sink, toilet, and shower room but the rest of the flat is pretty good sized from what I recall. The kitchen was big enough to have a little dining area so that might be nice. Living room was pretty big. I think there was a bedroom too. So yeah. Hopefully decent living conditions.
And certainly cheap. £525 for that. Can't really complain. Overlooks a park. It's on a hill which is kind of a pain but whatever. Get some exercise. Ten minute walk to the nearest station. That's not bad. Then a five minute train to Glasgow Central Station. That's fantastic.
Not sure where the courts are, though. Glasgow Sheriff Court would be a 30 minute journey from my home to the court. That's great. Not sure if I'd be working there, though. High Court Of Justiciary is right nearby so again, 30 minutes. That would be a more likely place to work.
And the train fares...let me look this up. It depends on zone. I think all of this is within one or two zones, though. So £18.30/week. Yeah, I don't know. It's not amazing. I paid £7/day in London but if I avoided zone 1, I paid like £4/day. So they're not giving it away in Glasgow. But that's for unlimited. It might be cheaper to just get a return ticket every day.
It will be an adventure. Good or bad, it's something to write about on TIY -- TMB. And just getting out of London is a success. In a way, it's good that the only relationship I established is with my ladyfriend because I'll miss her but if it were more people it would be however many times more difficult. Probably for the best to get away from her anyway. It was a weird relationship just based on bad conversation and bad sex.
