Now they're back but only in two varities: habenero chili & guacamole and honey glazed ribs & lemon. I had to stop myself from buying more than one bag of each.
Tried out the habenero chili & guacamole. They're alright. The habenero ones have a good amount of spiciness. The guacamole is more mild. The idea is to balance each other out, I guess. I don't even know what guacamole tastes like, though. I could be wrong but I think it tastes of nothing. Used on tacos and whatnot.
I have to say, I wasn't blown away. Haven't tried the ribs and lemon ones yet but my expectations are way down now.
Those Doritos Collissions back years ago were the greatest crisps I ever had. Probably the only time in my life that I was excited about food. I heaped so much praise on the Frito Lay corporation. Then they took them away.
I don't know how the distribution works. There's only so much shelf space. Supermarkets don't want to order a bunch of new products because then they have to stop buying other products. You're not going to stop selling nacho cheese Doritos in favour of some wacky new variety, no matter how awesome it is.
But still. Couldn't they still make them and sell them directly to the consumer? I would have bought boxes of this shit.
Let me see if there are any reviews. Wait a minute. These reviews are from 2015. Maybe they were released in the US at that time.
There are news articles about the release of these flavours in the UK.
