Having just finished my second body control module reconfiguration of the week. Where numerous people have been evolved and thousands of pounds spent in labour charges and sending various control units off for immobiliser deactivation and weeks off the road.

I am just wondering how many people get feed up with the trade that refuses to invest in training and good quality equipment to carry out investigations and repair. Of what is normally a simple fault. Do we embrace them as a good source of income or lobby for technician licencing. My last customer had effectively spent £3000 to cure a central locking fault.
