The last three posts have hit the nail squarely on the head, if the trade does not take itself and the MOT test seriously how can we expect the public to do so. My answer to "pre MOT checks " has always been the same, do the full test and you know exactly where you are, no hidden surprises etc. In my opinion discounted MOT tests give the trade a cowboy or should that be Dell Boy ? image. For most of us smaller rural independents the MOT is actually quite a good hourly rate. Regards Roger
