I have scoped the duty cycle to the swirl flap solenoid valve (and checked valve operation) which seems ok but I have nothing to reference this against. I have thoroughly checked for vac leaks (this is the only vac operated component apart from the brake servo).
The code now returns immediately. I am now starting to wonder if the 4v output from the flap position sensor is high enough (it has a 5v feed) or indeed the 1.3 low enough?
Does anyone have any idea what the measuring blocks are for this sensor, as Solus doesn't show it on live data, or what the adaption channel is?
I think I have missed the deadline for a warranty claim (it may not be covered anyway) and the customer can at least continue to use it as the only symptom is the MIL on.
I have just thought that my next move may be to clear the code and then see if it returns with the car at idle which may help me to decide if the fault is at one end of the flap travel?
Sorry for long post.
Any suggestions on this greatly appreciated.
Bryan.
