Exactly where you told me it would be!
All grounds to the unit were acceptable so looks like a fault within the unit itself, unfortunately the customer has suddenly remembered that the car is still under warranty and so will now be taking it to kias to have the work done, I have asked for her to let us know the outcome but I shan't hold my breath?
Thanks for the advice about autodata I did call and they were able to give me the pin designations for the unit, they were wrong mind but good to know it's worth a phone call in future
