i,ve got this little beauty in broken down whilst driving. immobiliser light goes out, but the red engine stop light is flashing (overheat as far as i can learn), coolant temp is accurate.
stripped out the loom, checked wiring, cleaned & checked operation of 3 black relays in fuse box, load tested feeds & negs. to ecu added extra earth to ecu casing whilst ecu loose on top of engine, repaired chafes to loom from security cage.
i have full comms with everything as far as i'm aware, but i think the ecu is at fault, tried another ecu as it was cheap & maverick were unsure whether dec can code it or not, there is no option available in special functions.
does the ecu have to be coded to the uch using key codes?
or does the uch have to be recoded to the ecu using keycodes?
the reason i ask is i can pull the keycodes & viginise the uch with truecode, dec has the option to configure the ecu & i should then be able to recode the keys
does anyone know/done this procedure please or do i get the immobiliser removed, which is possible but takes time.
