Not fixed after all! Archived Message

I am getting a bit of brain damage over this one. ATP informed me that the ecu may have been corrupt or wrongly configured for a vehicle with air con, which this hasn't. It was decided that a replacement ecu was the best option. the car was taken to another local independant (with the old ecu in place) with the new ecu to be configured. Although comms could be established with both ecu's neither would accept any kind of configuration. The software used was the latest available (cd5) and the part number has been confirmed as correct by the main dealer. I am a bit lost as to what to do next so any suggestions, apart from scrapping the car, would be gratefully received. Regards, Bryan.
