Hi Would just like to know if anybody has seen this fault, before i stump for a new ECM.
The car will stick at 2300 rpm and has no throttle response at all from the pedal. the fault only seems to happen on ignition start up. The car can start and drive perfect for most of the day. But from time to time maybe two to three times a day if you re start the engine the fault can appear it will then take about 30 to 40 minutes with ignition off to disappear.
Looking through the archives i can find some info but mainly relating to Clio's. I have checked for the things mentioned in the archives such as bad wiring or chaffing through at the ecm security cover. The ecm is under the battery on this model and does have a steel cover but there is no chaffing and wiring looms look ok nothing seems to have rubbed and nothing looks corroded. Have also checked for water ingress at ecm and all multi plugs.
Fault codes stored are: (read using clip)
DF 413 Motorised throttle Sub heading is DEF (unidentified electrical fault)
DF 038 Computer sub heading is 2DEF (computer fault motorised command)
codes will clear but come back with fault, DF413 is the first fault to be logged.
Did try to re program ecm with clip (although i have never attempted this before) i followed the on screen instructions but at the point of programming clip said computer already programmed operation impossible.
looking at live data for the throttle motor when the fault is active the data is frozen tps tracks 1 and 2 do not respond to me pushing the pedal. When the fault is not present all data looks fine.
