    ECU:Siemens SIMOS 5WP4 161 part number 037 906 025B

Hi, I'm just looking for reassurance here, I think I have answered my own question but would appreciate it if anybody has come accross this before.

The car cut out and wouldn't start again. No spark but did have injection. I checked the output from ECU to Amplifier and found the square wave to be incorrect (difficult to explain but imagine the voltage high part of the sq wave approx half way across, the voltage quickly dips (glitches) to earth and back to several times before it finally switches off) I can post the image if somebody tells me how to do it.

I checked the injector duration and it was 62 ms on the scope! So without doing further checks I assumed the final stages in the ECU were faulty condemmed it and sent to ECU technologies after reading reccomendations on this board. They sent it back with no fault found so I went into further depth today.

So I have checked the earths (under load), power supplies, Crank sensor pattern, cam sensor pattern, MAF, IAT, ECT, TPS, in fact every single pin that is connected in the ECU and everything is absolutely bang on where it should be. There is no interference, all the scope patterns are spot on apart from the output from ECU to amplifier and Injector duration.

Thanks in advance if anybody has any ideas.

    Paul
