http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyn-promises-to-kill-ttip-will-work-in-parliament-to-stop-trade-deal-a7060896.html Why post that? It was mass German grass roots opposition that stopped TTIP: not Corbyn. And you're not going to have that next time are you? Pretty much illustrates my point though. If the yanks demand it as the price for a post Brexit trade deal: and you can almost guarantee they will, the US can shaft the UK in a way they cant with the EU. " Labour and Tory manifestos in 2017 confirmed their commitment to abide by the referendum result. " You're heading for a no deal Brexit ( a nightmare scenario) just remind me who actually voted for that? -It didn't say anything about ripping up every trade deal and starting from scratch on Brexit day did it? If you are all so keen as mustard for democracy and trusting the people, then there should be no problem with a confirmatory vote on the May deal. She's taking the country out of the EU. That's what the Brexiters voted for. But of course all those supposed Brexit democrats now seem somewhat reluctant to continue with that democratic process...funny that.
