I'd suggest that you're wrong. As far as I can acertain, the Catholics in Northern Ireland, who are now close to parity with the Protestants, voted overwhelmingly to remain within the European Union. Here and now, Brexit is far more important to them than Sein Fein's nationalist dogmas. The relationship to Europe isn't peripheral or fleeting, it's at the heart of peace and prosperity in Ireland and the prospects for a peaceful and grandual 'reunification' and integration of all the parts of the island of Ireland going forward. And, Sein Fein have, de facto, accepted this 'piece process' this gradual change as the balanc of power in the Northern Ireland changes and evolves. It's a tragedy that their pig-headed and out-moded nationlist dogmas prevent them from using their brains and having real influence, especially at a time like this. They're being both reckless and dangerous.
