Allow me to take down Peterson: He talks too much, he's too cozy with the media and the talk circuit . . . He's getting carried away with himself and in danger of ruining what good he had to offer. He is not careful with his choice of allies (either through naivety or dark opportunism) . . . But his general exposé of the massively pernicious effects of Critical Theory (including C-16 and other similar legislation) are truly as serious and urgent as he makes them out to be. A whole lot of people (of all kinds) with a basic sense of truth and justice agree with him, and have felt the same about it as him for a long time. This is what his fame rests on. And I fear he's blowing it, but not for the reasons you list. Also, his answer to the problem of Global Warming, apart from his endorsement of Lomborg, was in essence true and important! The essence of what he said is that people generally don't know what to do about large scale crises, and so we should be very, very, unto death very, in fact TOTALLY alert and skeptical about those who offer large scale 'solutions.' He is right. You do not answer ideology with ideology. You do not answer control with control. You don't fight fire with fire. You deal with TRUTH and JUSTICE. You answer injustice not with injustice but with JUSTICE. What are the main things the powers that be are doing? They are deceiving, cheating, lying, killing, stealing, shredding constitutions and the Rule of Law, and rewriting them in their favour.
