Raoul Djukanovic was banned back in the day, for criticizing the eds, it's really just the same thing according to Dan.
Dan meant us to take this seriously - because this post was where the ban was 'announced' (wv didn't see it) with the line that West virginia 'has gone to a better place'.
Yet the comparison merely shows how little justification there was, if this is a yardstick:
In contrast to wv's 'crime' of biting back at unfair personal criticisms (Dan didn't respond to the criticism of his interventions), Raoul Djukanovic criticized the ML editors incessantly; the same criticisms, meeting the same replies, resulting in impasse.
Not that I consider that this ban of RD was justified either; the ML board had guidelines and donts, and criticizing the Eds wasn't listed as one of them.
Now Dan did later say this was perhaps a bad example but wv was banned by then, of course - and it was the 'explanation' given at the time.
