I assume I am permitted to respond, as you have used my name aggressively six times in a short post.
I only asked what reasons were supported, then highlighted the automatic nature of the responses. One question seems to address all.
If you are attempting to do a count, I can see at least 6 direct supporters (of the ban or of hostilities towards me for asking) and a couple of 'don't care's in the big discussion. And another 3 here in this thread.
That's over half of your twenty.
Twirlip has a clear point that your (using the term loosely) support for each other in these matters is automatic, and blind to any kind of fault.
Case in point - Margo's playback of Twirlip's point about the cult (he 'despises' the board, FFS??) is one of the distortions that has been at
the root of the troubles all along.
But you are nevertheless cheering it. I could rhyme off several others who often do the same.
Dan isn't a cult leader but has been elevated into this role by the many people lining up to say "I trust Dan" - as if that were the question!
That is very cultish - as is the fact that 'your' support somehow doesn't extend to endorsing any of the reasons Dan gave for the ban.
BTW, if you're of independent mind, how come you are not voicing your original opinion, that the ban should be for a month? Sorry to be 'unrelenting' :/
