Actually rhisiart, it is. We're not changing the world here, just trying to get to the bottom of what is actually happening in it. Post after post of Walters was about personal sleight, either his, twirlip, wv et al. By all means we should be able to say our piece. But what I was taught was say it and move on. Thst it, it isn't my job to change your opinion but rather only to let you in on my thoughts. That wasn't happening. Cj mentioned being kind; Walter broke those rules albeit in intellectually couched language rather than straight out invective, which here and there is normal. It came to the point for me where, when I saw Walter had posted my heart sank; another long long thread was bound to follow where he explained why everyone else he was wrong, bigoted, sexist (inc the women who disagreed). Straight up bullying/harassment. He was no victim, nor others here that have been suspended/banned. Getting back to this board, Dan offered moderation possibilities at the outset and no takers (from my memory at least). Tbh I'm still not interested in that- i don't see the point. it doesn't work fairly no matter how you do it. Anyone who says otherwise should probably provide working examples (I've never seen any good ones), in which case all those who dislike the process here could move there . Dans offered a sister site where these possibilities could be explored anyway. I'm not going, I'm happy with the ambience and the selection of beer here.
