Thanks, Margo, for sharing your "lived experience." (cough) Thanks, also, for lumping me in with those two. Why, you're smooth enough to land a plum job at the BBC or Guardian.
Oh wait! What's this? . . .
"It's gratifying to see that the BBC has announced it's appointed a gender-focused consultant to its team; it's gratifying to see how many pages the Guardian now generously devotes to gender, transgender, feminist and other identity politics issues. Media analysts would ponder why The Guardian is so big on some issues and so weak or disinformative on others."
Yes, media analysts should certainly ponder this, deeply and dispassionately. But you seem to be saying the Guardian is strong and informative ("big") on those issues, as opposed to weak and disinformative on the war/economy issues? You are probably right about the skewed focus, but pushing pernicious sexual and social ideologies is not my idea of 'strong' and 'informative.' In fact, the gender and various grievance ideologies ARE part and parcel of the larger War Propaganda and social engineering initiatives! The point is to replace reason with emotion, love with fear, responsibility with 'rights' (for the 'right' people), justice with mob justice, and to expand the state and judicial bureaucracies with their ever-expanding Orwellian Hate Laws. This is all part of the War effort! It is why the left has imploded and the anti-War forces have pittered out.
I'd like to see some real, deep info and discussions on the media and on the larger psychological truths of our times. But you go ahead and lump me in with those two.
As for "lived experience," there's mine, and those of my intimate associates, and they are none of your business let alone the state's.
That's how I approach it, anyway.
No acrimony intended. Just disappointment, really.
