If I were in charge, I'd delete and block "gender" threads outright. Those who initiate them are only pushing mainstream propaganda, and are notoriously closed to criticism or deviation from the ideological script. Also, long tit-for-tats over personal feelings and perceived abuses should come under a 3-strikes you're out policy.
A media analysis community should agree to a certain standard. If feminism or any of the 20th century ideologies come up, they ought to be approached intelligently for what they are - propaganda and social engineering, and analyzed from that position (especially the stuff pushed by corporate-funded academia and media!).
Now, some might say I push the "God" stuff, so how am I any better? No, I simply push against the New Atheist propaganda pushed relentless by news and entertainment media, literature, and education. My analysis might be imperfect, might even be dead wrong. But I am not pushing religion or Christianity etc.
There are those who think social engineering is an over-blown conspiracy theory. The necessary infrastructure is fully in place - interconnected communications technology, surveillance, concentrated power monopolies wedded to the state . . . but still, people think some of it is 'good' and some of it is 'bad.' Instead of shopping in a perceived market of 'good' and 'bad,' we should be examining all of its 'products' dispassionately, asking, 'What, exactly, is this and what is behind it and where is it heading?'
