"I don't think this is likely" As Chomsky would say, these are not matters for prediction but for action. And phrases like "they're not going to back down", "UK will continue to behave", etc, have a predictive certainty about them that will only be a psychological barrier to engagement and action. So why say it at all? And why talk about him "dying in prison" instead of about the moral imperative to prevent such a tragic outcome, tragic not just for him and his family and friends, but for all humanity which can ill afford to lose such a mind and spirit? Please, no more dire prognostications!
