I think, Ken, you live in Scotland -- sorry if I've got this wrong. -Yup. I'm in Scotland... are you inferring that because of that I simply won't understand this emotional English Brexity thing? Good because I won't (I actually think its "mental" as we say up here.) but there are always hard facts to be dealt with. "Yes, Labour might pick up some floating Remain voters not already scooped up by the Lib-Dems..." Its not a matter of picking up a few "floating Remain voters": he needs to totally reverse the flow of voting intent. Has it sunk in that Labour following the Corbyn "dither for Brexit" strategy, have now dropped to fourth place? Labour's core vote is Remain across the board: even its working class Remain vote outnumbers the working class Brexit one: "...but the vital 40/50 Labour seats in the north and midlands heartlands who voted to leave will be unforgiving." -As the Remain voters are already abandoning Labour in droves because of its ambiguous Brexitish stance, its obvious Corbyn had no chance at all of making any gains at all pandering to that small working class Labour Brexit vote and too much to loose. He was playing to the idea that he could take his core vote (Remain) for granted but he's now at long last conceded that he can't. -Maybe he's left it too late trying to be all things to all men. Of course whilst hes been bleeding his own vote the media assassins, Israeli agents and enemies in his own party have scented the blood and doubled up on their campaign against him: shame he gave them the opening.
