All I implied with my original post, is that I (and this is my free choice) treat all news like this as fake unless I see real evidence to the contrary. And for that, forget the "real" blood at places like the Baclan theatre, Sandy Hook, Boston bombing. I accept this is a very cynical position to take, buts its my choice. Fair enough, R. But, out of curiosity, do you only take this cynical position with respect to northern hemisphere deaths? For example, 60 South African farmers have been murdered (families gunned down or knifed) since January this year. Would you also be cynical as to whether those gruesome photos show "real" blood: could the relatives, neighbours, employees and witnesses who were interviewed all have been "actors"? I suppose I'm just trying to work out which death events - in which locales - arouse a cynical position? Are Palestinian deaths faked, Israeli deaths, Gilet Jaunes deaths? Also, what is the benefit of these 'fake murder events'? Who is served (in these latest American shootings) by a white supremacist gunman targeting a store in a Latin American neighbourhood: not sure what the take-away message is supposed to be if it's all fake: what are these fakes trying to effect? Every 'event' surely needs to be evaluated on its own merits. A good investigative journalist team could easily check the hard data: ambulance, mortuary and hospital records, govt death statistics, municipal records.
