I know it's the convention for the monarch to take the advice of the PM of the day. But did she bother to take soundings from PC's or a sample of MPs before making what may turn out to be a momentous decision to prorogue Parliament? She's effectively doing her bit to facilitate a no-deal Brexit. She cannot but be aware of that. Bu, then, she's only interested in perpetuating the long-term interests of 'The Firm.' The country, democracy and the inteests of 'her' people be damned. At 93, she can't have long to go. Her reign seems to be ending in ignominy.
