Yes, yes, I understand all that. I wasn't making a criticism of TLTG, the crit is for the somewhat hypocritical argument made against Thunberg et al purely on the basis of funding and class and so forth, while TLTG is to be 'looked at again' even though it's coming from the same quarters. It's a difficult knot to untangle, but that poster has been making ridiculous black-and-white blanket statements based on backing and funding alone, and I see still makes no attempt to reconcile this obvious conflict in their pronouncements. You can't hold up TLTG as something to be revisited while simultaneously coating off the entire climate movement purely because of its backers (and the class element, which is just bigotry afaic), because the backers are backing both. It's far more nuanced than that - as you've been putting forward. We're on the same page here; it's some others who are not that was the subject of my post. Also, TLTG sold 30 million copies in multiple languages and made a big splash (and still does). If its message was seriously detrimental to all 'elite' interests, then it would have been disappeared into the memory hole, wouldn't it?
