Johnson can do pretty much what he wants now. He'll want to make his mark. So, it's probable that he will want to mitigate some of the ill effects of a hard brexit (likely morphing into a no-deal Brexit) both to keep the English seats gained and to try to stop Scottish independence. What will Scotalnd do? Independence with or without British parliamentary permission for a ref.? Rejoin the EU? If so, what about the border question? |
