Its indeed probable that the media campaign disenfranchised more than they turned but all it did in effect was hand over power to the Tories because as I've already pointed out , disenfranchisement generally works to their benefit. If they can get erstwhile Labour voters not to vote that's most of the job done because then they don't count. |
