I should add that I said something similar pre election; that dreams of parliamentary saviours tends to neuter us to other possibilities when we wake up and find the dream unresolved (as we always do). My guess is that all those non voters casually dismissed had already realised a hung parliament of mostly Tory wolves wasn't worth getting excited about. They were of course correct, but now for the non Tory voters there are two options; find the common ground and agitate for real change or paint the future that never was as the only chance we had, and give up. Democrats in the us are still doing exactly that. Labour of course seeks now to be seeking a merger with the tories, so that kind of shows to me the falsity of believing they were our only hope. Our only hope is still as it always was; each other.
