'Ian, what homework am I supposed to do, with any confidence, in such a situation? You want me to abandon reasonable open-mindedness in favour of fervently-held certainties, where none seem all that justified?' - You could read up on the basic science of global warming, the major points of which have been agreed upon by the vast majority of scientists for decades, rather than trawling through youtube looking for videos from people with no scientific background trying to stir up controversies to get more hits & subscribers. I don't buy this claim of 'open-mindedness', especially since you've not engaged with any arguments that have been put forward in this or the previous threads, but responded with hand-waving and spluttering instead. It's true there aren't any certainties in science, but then there is ground that is so solid that it's ridiculous, or insulting & deliberately bad faith, to challenge it. Or are you so open-minded that you would give flat-earthers, creationists or gravity skeptics the time of day? You don't seem to have a problem writing off tainted sources like white helmets, amnesty or even 'wikideceivia', yet you're willing to entertain monstrous liars like Moore and Happer. Why's that? cheers all the same, I
