Oh, we're listening alright. There's a meme on social media from the Britnats demanding independence for England. As Scottish cybernats (the derogatory term used in our reference) we're cheering them on. If that's the way this one-sided union is brought to an end there's no one who'll be happier!
BTW, I ought to point out that I'm an English emigre with 34 years' residence in Scotland so ethnic nationalism doesn't figure. Only civic nationalism if you will and even that boils down to the need for more self-government than exists in the present highly centralized structure. When the English move abroad they soon learn to see things in a different way. Look at America. The centuries old English-Scots tribalism exists but so far as we New Scots are concerned is very much a red herring in the argument.
