Tony Blair was Scottish - remind me: Who's the victim again? :-):-) Archived Message

313 years of union, and if I am not mistaken, for 91 of which we had Stuart Kings (29% of the time). Population of Scotland: 10% that of England. Nine prime ministers of the UK were Scottish, covering 38 years. This, too, is greater than parity. And UK party leaders ... Similar story. I am very sympathetic with the pight of the Scots now, under Tory rule, but honestly, such endless, pitiful victimhood. It strikes me the Scots are at liberty to withdraw their MPs from London any time - they'd have one parliament instead of two, like everybody else. If the Scots had a bum deal, which is quite likely true in some ways, could it possibly be because, exactly as they are doing now, your own people sold you out? They're just not-that-great? If I said any of the the above in Scotland, I'm sure I'd get my head kicked in. Maybe ScotNats have had their heads kicked in in London, but I've never heard about it. - Shyaku
