"We drove to Barking for an 11:30 appointment to find traffic chaos near the hospital with cars trying to get in from 3 directions, and no traffic control. We queued for 2 hrs to get in. The testing station was Army run and once in was all very efficient. It was done via instructions issued via mobile phone, the phone number you call is on a card. The number is for the soldier who issued our tests. He gives instructions. You keep the car windows up until he literally throws the test kits in. You then move to another area, self test, place the bar codes issued in the kit on to your sample tube and outer wrap, then rejoin the queue. Another phone number is displayed, you call it and another soldier approaches with a bin that you throw your sealed up test kit into, having first sprayed it with hand sanitiser. I wonder how those without mobile phones and can't travel get on.
36 hours later we have our test results.
Here's a copy;
Dear P..
Your recent COVID-19 test has been processed. The result was NOT CLEAR. If you are a key worker and still need a test, contact your employer to arrange to retake the test."
