Data I found put figure at annual AV of 17000. (28000 deaths in 2014). Infection of 7 per 100k would only be 4500 of which I think 1650 died in 18-19 (according to fullfacts site, no idea its veracity). In that same year I had flu, and I know 5-6 other people who had it in my small town (personally I mean). Anecdotally that would suggest higher infection. So I'm more confused by the difference in data. And apparently they don't record mortality from flu so it's estimates based on causes of death (lung infections and respiratory failure I guess).
