You're missing the point. I'm trying to pin down rate of infection *and* mortality to see the correlation. From what I've read flu was probably responsible for 28000 deaths in 2014 so if suggest looking at the graph you posted a bit closer. Was trying to figure out X and y axis representation on it the other day and gave up. Graphs and stats can be built to look snappy but they don't often give the full picture. If you want to assume that because I'm trying to pin things down I land on the side of conspiracy theory go ahead. But I need more than a confusing graph to make sense of the data. I know there have been excess deaths but that doesn't tell me anything definitively, it's just an indicator.
