A sobering analysis by Ivor Cummings.
In my opinion, too many people's jobs and reputations now rely on continuing the madness of arbitrary social distancing measures and fear mongering based on the esoteric term 'cases' for this to stop anytime soon. Governments can and will fall if the general population begins to realise that the wave of unemployment, degradation, suicide and death they are about to experience is a result of a herd like adherence, among the governments of the world, to unproven methodologies promoted by vested interests to fight a virus that, in the final analysis, is no different in its basic features to other severe respiratory viral infections. Meanwhile, it will be clear to those involved that an excellent method of social engineering has fallen into their laps and they will not give it up lightly. The latest government edicts make clear that whatever the nature of the original measures, whether ignorant, well meaning or nefarious, this situation is only going to put more power in the hands of unelected politicians (by which I mean all of them), trans-national corporations and global institutions whose vested interests are interlinked in numberless combinations. I realise it's a fractious subject here, but I'm surprised there's not more discussion of the ramifications. Me, I'm terrified; far more than I am of 'The Virus'.
A personal note if I may.
I was diagnosed with a stage 2 malignant melanoma earlier this year and was very lucky to have it diagnosed and treated (wide excision of affected area) by March 3rd, just as this was getting going. However, the normal face to face remission meetings did not occur, due to the panic around the virus. I subsequently had one telephone consulation (useless in the circumstances) and was probably due another soon but in the interim, by self examination, I discovered an enlarged lymph node close to the original site. In two weeks I will have a scan and will find out whether the node is cancerous or not. I relate this information to show not only that I have skin in the game (pun intended) but also to give just one example of the collateral damage of the last 6-7 months of hysteria around Covid-19; there will be tens of thousands more, all people and all entitled to a properly functioning health service capable of treating them. I have no idea how long the node has been enlarged and while the consultant I spoke to on the phone encouraged me to self examine, I had been fairly cursory in my efforts, not really wanting to find anything. Had I been able to see a professional, as I would have in normal circumstances, the swollen lymph node may have been detected earlier. As it is, I may be a dead man walking.
