Interesting points about Pyrrhonism - I would say that I bow to your greater knowledge on the subject, but then maybe it would be better to suspend judgement
All seems relevant to the polarised covid debate. I feel like there is some solid, verifiable truth about what happened, but for the most part (and for most people) it's too much work to get there, requiring too much expertise and too much time getting to grips with it. Hence the seduction of 'trust the experts' or on the opposite side, 'don't believe the experts, trust this guy instead'. A debate between the opposing sides could be useful in some ways, if the various arguments were laid out at length and challenged to see how they held up. But then so little of this is rational that people will stay entrenched in their positions, and perhaps dig in further, unless the emotional drives and past traumas pushing them into those positions are sensitively addressed.
Dore is well on his way to the climate skeptic interpretation, as seen in this recent vid where he & Kurt both openly say that they wouldn't be entertaining the idea that the climate change narrative is a lie had they not witnessed the establishment, including prominent scientists, lied to the public all the way through covid.:
Some might say that this particular suspension of judgement is a pose, and the person making it isn't really open to persuasion but just trolling and holding back progress - or 'grifting' as Raskolnikov accuses. Dore certainly hasn't gone out of his way to discuss the issue with people who know something about climate science. But as he often says, 'make the argument' - which is IMO a fair response to those adopting climate change as a political narrative to attack their opponents, and who know probably less about it than the 'deniers'.
Anyway, I generally agree with the point that the solution to poor information is better information. And there's a definite lack of rigorous, unbiased discussion of the major issues out there - everyone's got their axe to grind it seems...
