According to the Rape Crisis Centre, 5 out of every 6 women who've been raped don't report it Archived Message

Whether that statistic is absolutely accurate or not, there is no doubt rape is an underreported crime. But according to the logic of the speakers in this video, the 5 raped but not-reporting women were not, actually, raped because, you know, they didn't report it. Anyone who's had any dealings with rape victims knows how hard it is for them to come forward. The sense of shame, of defilement, of being called a liar, the thought of having to publicly re-live the ordeal, it's too much for many women. How much more so must it be for women assaulted by Hamas on October 7th - religious sensibilities increasing the sense of defilement, the feeling they should be quiet because they were *only* raped whereas others died etc. Being sceptical of war propaganda is a good thing but it should apply to all sides and what I see from many people on this board is that Israel lies all the time whereas Hamas's claims are 100% accurate and to be treated as absolute truth, never doubted and never critically questioned. The Hamas-fan boys and girls here should realise it's not a progressive force but a ruthless group seeking to enforce a particularly repressive ideology.
