| This is going to be my last post on this issue since there's clear blue water between our positions. You assume that all the bodies you mention are (and can be) totally independent of Hamas. I just don't think that's possible - what independent media, for example, operates in Gaza? What opposition parties are there? A week or so back, there were reports of two Palestinians shot and their bodies hung from a crane because they were alleged to have co-operated with Israel - what legal due process exists in Gaza? Are 'police' agencies actively looking for the perpetrators? Doubtful, I should have thought. Any aid agency operating in an area controlled by an organisation like Hamas has to play by their rules. |
