It seems logical that donor money should first go to shore up the athletic department instead of going to NIL. Down the road, but highly unlikely, if the athletic department is more financial stable then more money should go into the NIL pot. There just is not enough money to realistically compete for players that can really make a difference if NIL money is a player priority.

Most schools, either P4 or mid majors, will not provide full scholarship type money, to the roster limits, for most of their sporting teams. However, to be competitive or remain competitive LBSU will have to significantly increase scholarships in MVB, BB, SB, etc if they want to be successful. I know from my own past interests, if the LBSU teams I follow stop winning my interest also decreases. Like it is always said, and especially in California, we like to follow winners or teams that have the potential to be winners. The dream is what drives some of us.
