It matters bc those former "lands of savages"/ 3rd world states- now mostly outperform western countries in science, math & technology scores amongst school age children.

If you want to include religion. Im all for it. Teach its history. The differences & similarities of the 6ish world religions.

Knowledge- not morals belong in the classroom.
Morals belong to parenting/ guardianship.
Hold schools accountable for failure to educate to a basic level. Hold parents accountable for failure to instill a basic level of morals.
Morals can easily be based on the same tenents that us-law is based. That your rights/morals end at the point they harm somebody elses ability to live with liberty & justice.
