Hangler, I need to make this perfectly clear. My letter was nothing to do with the club. It was written to confirm what Kerry Butler described in fishing around Auckland in comparisoon to HB and in particular regarding the gurnard stocks. I simply related my similar experiences from what Ive seen and heard over the last 5 years.

Congratulations on your catch. I fish Central Hawkes Bay mostly and I havent caught a gurnard here in two years. A bit of a change from my experience of Hawkes Bay Gurnard fishing a few years ago
