Hangler. Mate, with due respect, whilst I agree with the fact that there is a right and a wrong way to handle this, the Governments of today and those of the recent past do not give a rats arse about the NZ fishery as long as the money is right. Our seas are constantyly raped by overseas companies and likewise some of our own. I say "some" and yet nothing of any substance is done about it. I, to, could post photos of gurnard caught recently but what we are talking about is constant takes. Last year the Pania Surfcasting Club weighed less than 20 gurnard over the 2011/12 season. I have done that myself in the past in two days although not consecutive ones.
Guys let me assure you all that the NZACA is mindful of the state of the fishery and are being proactive on it.
