interesting about the kingi, not often taken from the beaches around here as far as I have observed but I can remember hooking and losing some really good ones from Petone wharf in Wellington harbour in the 60's.Spent today checking over the old Penn eggbeaters and stripped down and lubed the Jigmaster reel too.All set to go, if only I had the diesel money
