Chad I also understand were you guys are coming from, but I believe the leader issue was just playing with your head.
As I said before my 200mtr cast was done with fishing gear as I had forgotten my casting rod ( life moves in mysterious ways) but the trick was not to overload the rod.
For you and others who missed the casting days they were not just setup for the elite ,we all help each other out , everyone was welcome and I think everyone had a great day.
I was just thinking If I can crack 200 with heavy leader if I can drop it back to 15kg 250mtrs could be possible but it would mean nothing.
Or we just might take a break for a few years.
