Had the pulley rig hooking solid last two visits to one of the local beaches . Several gurnard, blue mokis, solid trevs, and umpteen Kahawai. Then thats my main stay rig nowadays. Had i been using other rigs I'm sure i would have similar results. Some local beaches are fishing sh!t at the moment and me thinks maybe thats your problem right there. Did you get any solid bites or just picker fish crap?….
